A HERITAGE TO KNOW A BRIEF HISTORY OF AUKELA CHRISTIAN MILITARY ACADEMY Aukela Christian Military Academy stands deeply rooted in the community today as a prime example of an independent educational institution, which has served the State of Florida and the nation as a multi-cultural and military institution. The history of Aukela Christian Military Academy began on the third floor at The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church located in Miami, Florida, in September 1990. Aukela Academy is a co-ed school founded in 1990 by Audrey B. Rodriguez. It was the first independent institute from pre-school to 12th grade. After its relocation to unincorporated South Broward County in 1991, we moved to the Carver Ranches Educational Center. There, we continued to improve the academic performance of our students for several years. This establishment was founded through a vision from God and faith believing that all things are possible for those who believe. Aukela has been maintained throughout the years as a result of many trials and tribulations. Our main objectives for Aukela are as follows: Bible and Praise Ministry. Personal attention to the emotional as well as academic needs of our students. Using innovative techniques to spiritually enhance self-esteem. Administering to strict discipline. Adhering to military uniform attire. Develop a majestic character towards challenges; a thirst for education; respect for the use of power; faith; racial dignity/responsibility and a desire to live harmoniously with their fellow man. Our Academy continued to grow over the next few years and in 1994 we relocated to the City of Hollywood. Aukela Christian Military Academy continues to expand here in the Hollywood Community. We dream of a residential facility, a larger school and a prayer tower. Believing that with God all things are possible we will achieve our goals.
